CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF A WONDERFUL LIFE!

VINTAGE SEPTEMBER 12, 1963

The Story

As we all know, my dear sister Jena is about to celebrate a remarkable milestone in her life—her 60th birthday! She has not only been an amazing sister but also my best friend, confidante, and partner in countless adventures. To mark this special occasion, I've decided to create a tribute website dedicated to celebrating the wonderful person that Jena is.

I invite each and every one of you to join me in making this tribute truly special by sharing your cherished memories and photos of Jena. Let's fill this website with stories that reflect the incredible journey of her life and the impact she's had on all of us. I've prepared a few relevant questions for all of us to answer, so let's gather our thoughts and memories to create a heartfelt gift that will remind Jena of the love and friendship she's surrounded by. Your contributions will make this 60th birthday a celebration she'll cherish forever. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful endeavor!

Lisa Hollensteiner

Happy 60th Birthday! What a wonderful life you and I have had together! We have lived together, starting with sleeping in the same bed-with dolls down the middle to set boundaries. We eventually had 2 beds but shared a bedroom. We were labeled differently with you being "beautiful" and me being "smart." As you are 4 years younger, we were in different stages of life as we grew up. You were the goofy younger sister who made worm necklaces, played pranks on the neighbors, and talked about a Tide commercial after rolling in the dirt. I was responsible older sister and In later years, I remember staying up on weekend nights wondering where you were and if you were going to get home safely-while Mom and Dad slept soundly. And you were always having fun! But having fun is only part of your life story... You are fun and.. Smart-You worked in the Real Estate business and up to Marketing Director for North America for CBRE., working long hours and managing boatloads of people and projects. Yes you are"beautiful" and "smart." Organized-Anyone know anyone else who can pull off an event like you? Adventurous-Getting your pilot's license, traveling around the world with Semester at Sea, traveling to Africa and South America and many other places. A good friend-You have so many friends! Devoted-God love you for taking care of Shelly in her struggle with breast cancer and at the end of her life and for befriending her girls. God love you for devoting yourself to taking care of mom in her last years of life and for working to keep things organized on the home front. A wonderful sister, wife, daughter, step-mom, aunt, etc etc Bottom line, you are the whole package, maximizing life, and we all have benefited. I am so grateful that I have shared life with you!

Where did you first meet Jena?
Birth! I have known you your entire life!

What are 5 adjectives you would use to describe Jena?
Family-focused, funny, creative, devoted, caring

What are your funniest memories of Jena?
Crank calls! Jena is the master and I think all of us have either made one with her or been the recipient-whether you knew it or not. There was the call to a young male friend from the "police" saying that his friend was in jail for masturbating in public and that he was the one the friend requested to pick him up-but first he had to go clean up the mess on the wall at the Burger King bathroom where the deed occurred. The call to a friend who sold commercial food from the" restaurant owner" saying " This is baaaad chicken! " and going on to repeatedly complain about it. The call to a friend who had just purchased a used truck in Montana and had driven it to his home in California from the" police" who said that it was stolen and he needed to drive it right back. The call to friend from a distant "relative" congratulating the woman on her engagement and persistently asking to sing at the wedding. The call from the estranged "girlfriend" to her ex who was with his new girlfriend insisting that she wanted him back. The call to a young man saying that the sponsorship of his electric vehicle team by the university was canceled-but that a company was stepping in-a tampon company with the condition that the tampon advertisement go on the side of the car. Call from young niece and nephew to their uncle saying that they were lost and were abandoned in a field and needed to be picked up. And more than one phone call informing people or their mothers about being diagnosed with STDs. So beware!

How has Jena impacted your life?
You have taught me to lighten up and have more fun along the way. I was always more serious, driven to achieve my calling to become and work as a physician. But watching you, I have learned that one can be serious but also have fun. Of course I will never be as fun as you!

What else would you like to share about Jena?
We have shared a lifetime of adventures! Europe trip ages 5,3,1. You left your blankie in a city and mom had to drive back through rush hour to get it. you got your arm stuck in an umbrella stand in Italy creating a gathering of clucking Italians trying to get it out. Lots of fun times in Montana-including all the parties! Old people, Christmas, Renaissance, Hard Times, Ladies Day Out, Cowboys and Indians, etc. Always ending with egg toss and Eat the Worm. Eastern Europe with mom and me. Remember the nude men in the steam room, running out of the restaurant and speeding off, and of course being completely lost in Bulgaria ending with us under the chairs laughing our heads off as the blind choir from Sophia sang Bones dem Bones dem Dry Bones. Germany with me, Andrew, and Matthew-Who can forget Andrew setting off the alarm and running from the bathroom attendant, the boys picking coins out of the fountain, the boys asking for money outside the bathroom, and of course the infamous monkey bars with Matthew. Italy with me, Andrew, and Matthew-touring penis renditions at Pompeii with Lula, the boys collecting farts in a coke bottle while we drove.

Happy 60th birthday year, Jena!

Where did you first meet Jena?
I first met Jena when I was invited on the annual gal pal ski trip but our first true date was at her Sauganash house before I moved to Chicago. Holly set it up as she and “Chief husband, Dave”, were about to be married. She knew Jena was in need of another single bestie once she and Dave tied the knot. I brought flowers and wine to butter her up as I knew stepping in as Holly’s backup would be a hard sell! Jena gave me the cold shoulder the first few hours but quickly warmed up when I showed interest in home remodeling, moving furniture, talking to mediums, and basically being convinced to do anything, whenever!

What are 5 adjectives you would use to describe Jena?

First of all, I feel compelled to offer an introduction and caveat. It should be noted that I am married to the birthday girl (should readers of this narrative not know). Yes, her last name (albeit, not legal) is "Armistead." As her husband for more than eight years, I remain her greatest advocate and supporter, and proud to be her life-partner. As such, what I have to say is probably a bit embellished (and perhaps biased) but is meaningful to me and is a genuine expression derived from my heart and its reflection. Clearly, and inequivalently, I am a very fortunate person to hold the title of "husband" as she celebrates this significant milestone. That said...

Where did you first meet Jena?
Through the graces of "match.com," I was given the opportunity to become introduced to Jena. While reading her online profile, I thought to myself..."no way!" Is she for real...firearm certification, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, scuba diving certification, pilot's license and world-wide explorer." How cool but I did maintain my reservations--after all, everyone exaggerates on social media--including me. Furthermore, here is a 51-year-old absolutely gorgeous, talented, and a successful professional lady who has not been "betrothed" prior to her 5th decade on this Earth. That fact made me question, curious, and a bit reserved. But I needed to ascertain the answers to my questions and satisfy my reservations. I inquired. Jena responded--probably with equal amounts of apprehension and hesitation. We met for lunch in Nashville--while I was living in Lexington, KY. The six-hour drive (to and from) was worth the energy and time, as we laughed and smiled--conversing as if we were long-time friends. It was easy and comfortable. I was eager to continue our dialogue, but she had other commitments, so we said our "good-byes." I must say that I left the first date with much hope but, even more than that, with a heck of a lot of respect and admiration for this person given what I learned about her during the courses of an appetizer and entree on a Sunday afternoon.

What are 5 adjectives you would use to describe Jena?
Five words cannot do justice...as such I will go outside the bounds of this question. To know Jena is to understand that she is comprised of heartfelt devotions and emotions. She has her family first and foremost in her thoughts, mind, and actions. Her commitment is more than unyielding...it is steadfast. Jena is a care-giver by all traits, rights, and definition. She has accepted this role willingly and without reserve regardless of sacrifice or trial. Her love and support for her mother were astonishing and resilient. Her love for my mother were equally so. Her love for her father continues to be unrelenting, dedicated, and prideful. Equally so, Jena, through marriage, has accepted the role of "mother" in earnest and with conviction. From her eyes, Scott and Sarah are her children. She cares for them with unconditional love. The "kids" have learned to look to her as a source of trust and guidance and do so with respect and admiration. They call her more often than they do me! Finally, I must say, that Jena brought me into a circle of friends that she adores...her "gal-pals." She is fully committed to their welfare and care. So, I must reiterate that selecting a limited set of adjectives describing her fully is an arduous task. But I would contend that her greatest attributes stem from her heart--she cares, is devoted, maintains compassion, and always offers a genuine smile and hug.

What are your funniest memories of Jena?
Jena has made me more adventurist and fills my calendar with unique and exciting opportunities. Every day offers a laugh and a new comical escapade. That is who she is. Yet, I am glad to say that I have done the same for her and have tested her limits and comfort zones...such as fishing. The picture below depicting her facial expression after catching a salmon in Alaska should have been on the cover of some tourist brochure. Our guide insisted that she hold her fish. Her response, in no uncertain and adamant terms, was "no, no, no!" While resistant she eventually complied. In doing so, we laughed until tears were bountiful. The fishing guide rejoiced. Upon release of the fish, Jena was ready for more and waded back into the river to get her line wet and readied herself to bring in another trophy. I was done and felt completely satisfied watching her from shore for the remainder of the outing! Jena was the champion of the day.

How has Jena impacted your life?
Jena serves as an example with which to follow. Through her giving heart, her sincere and genuine persona, outspokenness, and commitment to others, she is my role model. Thankfully, she is my life-partner and even more...my "best-friend." As the saying goes, “Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend in his wife.” The times that we share are joyful and meaningful. She instills in me senses of confidence, wonder, anticipation, gladness, and purpose. We confide in one another that is true, meaningful, open, and honest. Her goals in life are my goals. My goals are hers'. Clearly, I am a very lucky person to have her by my side. The best thing is our ventures in life have just begun.

What else would you like to share about Jena?
While turning 60 is a milestone, Jena has just now begun her journey in life. She will continue to lead her life driven by her virtues, compassion and principles and make her mark in ways that may be undiscerned at the present moment in time. Yet, I know that those persons (and animals) that are a part of her "family" and world will feel her presence as she is devoted to ensuring that her loved ones have a better day tomorrow than what they had today. Clearly, Jena is a blessing to many--to all. I am anxious to witness the next chapters and adventures that await. I am a fortunate person to be able to call her my wife, partner, and best friend. Happy birthday my love.

I wish my heart were 50% the size of Cousin Jena's. She is perpetually caring/sharing/giving/loving 24/7/365. Possessing a servant's heart, she is one special lady who Lydia and I love, respect and admire a great deal. Pend, like me, over married and is forever blessed. They are one loving couple who simply do not have boundaries regarding their care, regard and devotion for those in their lives. Jena's wonderful parents, Wanda and Jim, instilled in her a passion to do the right thing, maximize opportunities, show sincerity and gratefulness and be others first focused. I imagine the Hollensteiner Foundation now has benefited over the years dozens of not for profits in positive proactive fashion in Montana, Florida, Michigan and fabulous Tennessee. Lydia and I are forever blessed to be related to her via Pend, and, even though she is unable to sit still and enjoy Nashville, their wonderful doggies and their impressive home here, we cherish and love our time with them. Jena is a life changer, especially for Pend and us. She is a doting sweet stepmother to Sarah and Scott, always there for them no matter what. She was just unbelievable in her care for her mother in law, Eliot, and her genuine nature of making the world a better place impacts all in her path. Her intellect is off the charts, her entrepreneurial spirit is impressive and her gentle way means a great deal to many. Jena handles adversity in wise deliberate fashion, whether it is a very unpleasant family dispute, aging parents, managing dogs, always having an open ear to her brothers and sister Lisa, refraining from wisely not discussing politics, being disappointed by friends occasionally and on and on. Her intangibles are abundant and she scatters joy. At their wedding in Montana, it was clearly evident love was ever present and the blessing God provided Jena and Pend is something to behold.

Where did you first meet Jena?
Believe it or not, Cousin Jimmy and Bill were with me as Pend's first date with Jena took place at Bricktop's in 2015! First date ... after they had chatted online ! Amazing Jena did not think she was in West VA instead of Nashville ! She showed a great deal of tolerance for the Armisteads, primarily Pend ! She, at first glance, liked us and she had yet to meet wonderful Lydia !!!

What are 5 adjectives you would use to describe Jena?
Sincere, devoted, beautiful, energetic, brilliant, happy.

What are your funniest memories of Jena?
At their wedding in Rollins in August 2016, just after the unforgettable touching ceremony, I was standing next to them and took a big sip of lemonade... next I completely freaked out because a yellow jacket was positioned on my cup and it stung my lips! Nice wedding crasher was that damned insect! Cousin Bill Frist, MD went to get an EpiPen to rescue me. Lydia's brand new beautiful blue dress was stained with lemonade, the crowd thought I had suffered a heart attack, guests were buzzing around me, of course, my lips were three times as large as normal, and then things calmed down and I was somewhat back to normal. Then an hour later I sat down outside with Lydia as we gazed at beautiful Flathead Lake and we saw Jena take over for the drummer in the wedding band!!

How has Jena impacted your life?
She has illustrated to us life is precious, as is family, of course, and her mild mannered approach to being grounded, steadfast, proactive, loving and a joy to all is excellent example for us to embrace. Again, Jena naturally just scatters joy !

What else would you like to share about Jena?
She has made an indelible positive impact on us via her creativity, energy, unwavering love, ingenuity, fun factor, connectivity and devotion. Pend is a very fortunate person to be her roommate !

Jena brought Matthew and Me to numerous amusement parks in Florida in celebration of our 10th birthdays. While on the trip, Jena left Matthew and me unattended at the hotel so we thought it was the perfect time to watch a movie Matthew had brought in his luggage. Matthew had brought the movie Wedding Crashers (don’t think Jena would have approved) so we put it on and that’s when I saw my first pair of boobies. Thanks Jena

What are 5 adjectives you would use to describe Jena?
Playful, beautiful, smart, loving, loyal

What are your funniest memories of Jena?
WAY too many to mention - sledding down the driveway double decker crashing into trees, streaking, bouncing on the bed strip shows for your family, wishing on your toes, making mixtures for your brothers to eat, worm necklaces, trampoline jumping, trick or treating in Big Jims overalls any time we wanted candy, biking to LZ for Ben Franklin discounted candy, our fort with chive grass, annoying all of your siblings, experimenting on your little brothers, our Tide commercial, our "fairs" and "Halloween experiences" , jumping off your roof into snow banks, MT /IL/AL summer pen pal letters with fun surprises inside, 4-H related shenanagins and achievements esp. Share the Fun and demonstrations, learning a hard lesson about teasing someone gullible, hide and seek guilt, picking up dog poop and sending it and then sharing during show and tell at school, how you were jealous of my sparkly pink bike with the banana seat and your revenge, Practicing to be Bond girls by spying on the neighbors, double dating with Tom and Dan, how you held my hair for the barf in Carolyn's shoes/car, hanging out and sleepovers with beverages with Carolyn, Vicky & Peggy in HS, Track and Field, golf course parties, being my bridesmaid when I got married, and most recently sauna and cold plunges in Flathead Lake.

How has Jena impacted your life?
My years of friendship with Jena have taught me to lean into my playful, silly side and to be adventurous.
There is always something to laugh about even in the toughest of times.

What else would you like to share about Jena?
I am forever in your debt Jena for two occasions where she showed me, by her actions, that all you need is one loyal friend standing by your side to get through a tough situation. Example one: "Grapefruit head" kept making fun of my glasses and calling me Yoder Oder on the bus and that made me upset. So one day Jena and I decided to body slam into him together while he was sitting on his bus seat. As we did that Jena announced that
yes, I was Yoder Oder and she was Jena Hollenstinker and to knock it off or we would fart on him! We might have gotten in trouble for that but he stopped bugging me so - effective solution! Example two: Jena voluntarily went to Mr. Key's office (our principal who kept a wooden paddle behind his desk) to sit by my side after that crabby and joyless Mrs. Blum sent me there for standing on my stool with an artfully ripped orange that roughly resembled a golden crown, doing an excellent impression of the Queen of England, Monty Python Style. We got a lecture from him on setting a good example for younger students and no paddling thankfully! Karma for Mrs. Blum: I used her for inspiration for my part as lunch lady in one of the senior variety shows to great acclaim.

My fondest memories of Jena are when she started giving me rides to high school. I thought I was so cool getting to skip the lame bus and being dropped off and sometimes taken home by a hot, popular chick! Oh yeah!

She embodies that Hollensteiner clan ethos described in the 5 adjectives above, which impacted my maturing years so that maybe I'm less of a dork than I would have been otherwise!!! Thanks to all!

Where did you first meet Jena?
Jena and I met through the Chicago gal pals, but our true friendship started at CBRE. Jena helped me to form the Women’s Network at CBRE and our friendship blossomed! We helped to create an environment where women can thrive at CBRE and became the best of friends along the way! We traveled the globe to Hong Kong London and Prague - danced with a Chinese Elvis, learned that Curry is a great hangover cure and found out that the zippers on Jena’s luggage weren’t very good and McVities biscuits roll quite quickly when on luggage conveyors!

What are 5 adjectives you would use to describe Jena?
Funny, Kind, Loyal, Great Sounding Board and so much Fun!

What are your funniest memories of Jena?
We have had a lot of laughs - but one of my funny memories is of Jena and her parents. We were leaving for Hong Kong soon so we went to dinner at the great restaurant Mas in Wicker Park with her parents right after Christmas. Mr Hollensteiner has gotten some new clothes for Christmas and we realized at dinner that he hadn’t taken the tags off - just in case they need to go back - just classic Jim Hollensteiner. Another great memory tha makes me laugh was when we were in Vegas at a CBRE meeting. First we both got in room massages from this guy who came to the room. Needless to say both of us were a little naive as to how wandering the massage could be!! Then Jena called a psychic (while sitting in the closet for some reason) who told her she was going to meet a guy and he was either going to be a blonde, brunette or a red head - she really thought this psychic was the ticket and that perfect guy was right around the corner - obviously it was a wide range of possibilities! Ha - she ended up marrying a gray haired man! Jena does love her psychics!

How has Jena impacted your life?
Jena has taught me to be less serious - to laugh at myself and find joy in life’s simplest moments! To be a good friend and that good friendships can pick up mid sentence of the last time we talked as if no time has passed at all. She fills a room with her energy, but can also empty a room if she has a gas issue! She is a fierce supporter of her family and will advocate for a friend at any time! She is a GREAT friend!

What are your funniest memories of Jena?
Jena and I were sitting on my couch in my living room with various friends and family members and someone noticed the golf ball-sized boil I had on my ankle. I explained it was caused by my ski boots which fit too tightly. I then proposed that we “pop” it. This was met with varying degrees of skepticism, curiosity and disgust. I assured everyone I had done this before with a boil I had on my knee and that we should try it on my ankle. I disappeared into the kitchen and returned with a large rolling pin and a hard cover book. I stretched my ankle across Jena’s lap, handed her the rolling pin, placed the hard cover book atop the boil and told her to give the book a hard solid whack. Everyone stared in disbelief at the rolling pin in Jena’s hand and the book on my ankle while they anticipated who-knew-what was going to happen. What no one did notice, however, was the small plastic bag tightly filled with water hidden in my hand between my legs. I told Jena to give the book a whack. She did but it was a medium- sized whack which did nothing other than to provoke murmurs of disgust and increase the anxiety of some. I told, “No, no, no. You really have to give it a really hard hit! Don’t worry. It won’t hurt me. Hit it HARD!” She drew the rolling pin over her shoulder and crashed it down on the book. Simultaneously, I squeezed the bag of water which I had pointed directly at her face and water shot all over her face, on the windows and on walls behind her. Everyone was horrified but Jena just laughed! I think she could taste it was just water and knew me well enough that it was a prank. Everyone else was stone-cold quiet as they stared at Jena’s laughing face dripping with what they thought must be pus and at my ankle which now was absent of the boil. We laughed so hard! She was a good sport!

I first saw a picture of Jena in Jamie's dorm room -- and, I thought it was his girlfriend back home, since there was very little resemblance. I really got to know Jena when she came out to work with Jamie and me at Many Glacier Hotel in Glacier Park. During that summer, we hiked Piegan Pass, ate Snickers, and spent a lot of time in the bar where both Jamie and Jena worked. Jena has been a great family person, she was our go-to for watching Logan and Connor over weekends, she took the kids to Cubs games, gave them Jena juice (pop), and always showed up for the big events (graduation). She is an amazing aunt. Jena is incredibly organized with sponsoring family parties, is really fun to be around, and does an amazing chimpanzee or gorilla dance.

HAPPY HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY JENA! I wish I could celebrate you in person, but I'm sending you all my love and good wishes here. Somehow I know you will have a rip-roaring time (I think that sounds like something a Montana cowgirl would say...)

Where did you first meet Jena?
I don't remember exactly when we met, it was sometime in the 90s in Chicago through our many mutual friends - Holly, Lisa, and Jill, to name a few. I got to know Jena better at countless house parties, Cubs games, bars, and girls' trips. She's a wonderful friend!

What are your funniest memories of Jena?
One memory that stands out was during Cubs Spring Training in Phoenix (Barb Jones' Birthday trip). We were having post-game drinks, and Jena burst into her Orangutan (or is it a Chimpanzee?) imitation for the whole bar. I'd never seen this before, though our other girlfriends assured me that this imitation was a Jena Classic. I've got to admit, it's not only funny but pretty accurate as well.

How has Jena impacted your life?
Jena inspires me to live life to the fullest and take chances - she's a shining example of really embracing whatever comes along and always finding the sunny side of any situation. Jena is a great reminder that laughter really is the best medicine!

What else would you like to share about Jena?
I'll always appreciate our girls' trip to Montana in 07. Jena was so generous to share Flathead Lake with all of us. Such a special place, and a wonderful chance to get to know Wanda and Big Jim and and enjoy the beautiful mountains and lake. And we added to the memories when our flights were canceled and we painted the old station wagon for a demolition derby. Going to a real rodeo and demo derby was a first for me! I also admire Jena's giving spirit and her big heart - I don't think there's anything that she wouldn't do for her family, her friends, and -of course - her dogs. Love you Jena!

Circa 1999. I might have been overserved and disorderly after a Cubs game at Murphy's. Jena was trying to convince the Channel 5 News cameramen to take me home in their van. She did manage to charm them enough to let me sit in the van for a while. (Thank goodness there were no mobile phone cameras or social media back then.) After she had her giggles, she made sure I had money and sent me home in a cab.

I admire Jena. She has worked hard to have a career, makes a huge effort to keep in touch with so many friends since she was young, the life she has built in Nashville with Pend, her love & friendship with his children. She looks beyond misgivings and sees the good deep down in people but she is very honest about what she expects in you as a person/friend. She has a unique spiritual outlook to the world and is committed to continuing the legacies of her parents and family in Montana. Her no regrets feelings about the decision she made and the gift of time she had giving a high level of compassionate care to her mom and has now for her dad is amazing.

Jena the Fun Star!

Where did you first meet Jena?
I met Jena on our ski trip to Sun Valley Idaho. We got pulled over for speeding by a funny little trooper who clearly had never met four city girls with the excuse of discussing Sex and the City for our reason for not realizing we were speeding.

I knew she was going to be a friend for life when she marched, completely confident, across the street to convince our neighbors they needed to let us use their hot tub. The rest is history!

What are your funniest memories of Jena?
I’ve got some humdingers, but one I’ll never forget happened at U of Illinois. Jena and I were roomies and one day she decided she wants to get a perm. She begged and begged me to get one too and I kept saying no…it’ll look terrible on me! Jena is really really good at convincing you to do something and usually it sounds like it’s going to be so fun…so I ended up giving in. We went to the salon and were seated at opposite ends…the gal was pretty much finished with mine when all of a sudden Jena is standing behind me. She looks pretty guilty and begins giggling. I was like…oh no! And she said…yup…my hair’s too dry and I can’t get a perm…sorry Krusty! I feel like that perm lasted at least 6 months…it was not a good look! To this day, when I see photos of me from that time I cringe and have to laugh out loud!

How has Jena impacted your life?

We met while working at Draper & Kramer in the early 90’s, what clinched our friendship was the corporate outing on a party bus to a Milwaukee Baseball game. What are your funniest memories of Jena?
My first truly funny memory post-college was inviting Jena to a food/wine tasting event at Navy Pier and she took a huge flower bouquet from a famous chef's table (the staff had left as they were out of food); she confidently passed security guards with this huge bouquet on a trolley, crammed the bouquet through my car's roof-top window and later featured the bouquet at her house party (thereafter becoming my partner in crime at all my company events)!; Jena's orangutan dance which she has famously performed many times but the funniest was at the top of Vail ski mountain on our annual girls ski trip in full snow ski attire when her HR manager recognized her from a distance; her classic Marilyn Monroe flashing to the airplanes taking off in St Barth above our rental; both of us losing our wallets at the Illini NCAA finals; her many drum performances typically at friend's weddings! These are just a few highlights, but Jena's funniest moments are typically when she interacts with complete strangers and tries to shock them by making a funny comment mixed with a huge Cheshire grin! She once told some guys on the girl's ski trip that she was Jenna Jameson prior to really knowing who JJ was . . . LOL! And of course her 'naughty' jokes to the ski lift operators are classic.

How has Jena impacted your life?
Jena has brought so much laughter, joy and silliness to my life that I will be forever grateful! She introduced me to Montana (Flathead Lake, Whitefish, Glacier Nat'l Park and Moose City), Siesta Key Beach, Nashville, Barrington and her grandmother's house on Kostner Ave. She has also invited me to many family gatherings with her parents - Wanda and Jim - wonderful parents and her entire family whom are welcoming to friends and very generous to their communities.

What else would you like to share about Jena?
From Jena I learned to treasure close friendships; help others when you can - a friend, family member, neighbor, colleague or stranger; making things happen; tenacity; living one's own vision (not others); laughing out loud, being fearless (not shy) and believing in spirits!
